Spontaneous Corneal Hem- and Lymphangiogenesis in Mice with Destrin-Mutation Depend on VEGFR3 Signaling [PDF]
Lymphangiogenesis, the formation of new lymphatic vessels, is important for tumor metastasis and induction of immunity to peripheral antigens including organ transplants. We herein describe a novel mouse model of spontaneous, secondary lymphangiogenesis in the normally avascular cornea.

Abstract Proximal tubular epithelial cells (PTEC) are central players in inflammatory kidney diseases. However, the complex signalling mechanism/s via which polarized PTEC mediate disease progression are poorly understood. Small extracellular vesicles (sEV), including exosomes, are recognized as fundamental components of cellular communication and ...

Triggers of senescence, such as replicative stress or oxidative stress, can induce the expression of cofilin‐1 to influence of cell morphology. Up‐regulated cofilin‐1 would enhance the expression of p27kip1 gene by suppressing the TEAD‐1 that transrepresses p27kip1 and lead to senescence‐associated growth delay.

Human cord plasma proteomic analysis reveals sexually dimorphic proteins associated with intrauterine growth restriction. [PDF]
Abstract Intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR) is associated with increased risk of cardiometabolic disease later in life and has been shown to affect female and male offspring differently, but the mechanisms remain unclear. The purpose of this study was to identify proteomic differences and metabolic risk markers in IUGR male and female neonates when

Effects of destrin pathway mutations on the gene expression profile
This study aimed to explore the interaction and crosstalk between pathways in response to destrin mutations. All the pathways from the MINT database were downloaded, a protein-protein interaction network was then constructed, and the crosstalk between pathways was investigated, in particular, the overlap of 2 significant pathway analysis results.

Actin depolymerization enhances adipogenic differentiation in human stromal stem cells
Human stromal stem cells (hMSCs) differentiate into adipocytes that play a role in skeletal tissue homeostasis and whole body energy metabolism. During adipocyte differentiation, hMSCs exhibit significant changes in cell morphology suggesting changes in ...

Characterization of Destrins with Different Dextrose Equivalents [PDF]
Dextrins are widely used for their functional properties and prepared by partial hydrolysis of starch using acid, enzymes, or combinations of both. The physiochemical properties of dextrins are dependent on their molecular distribution and oligosaccharide profiles.
