Lipid levels in sperm, eggs, and during fertilization in Xenopus laevis

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 2008
Critical developmental periods, such as fertilization, involve metabolic activation, membrane fusion events such as sperm-egg or plasma membrane-cortical granule merger, and production and hydrolysis of phospholipids.

Dual Functions of Dietary Rubber Seed Oil Supplementation: Enriching N‐3 Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids and Enhancing Antioxidant Capacity in Pekin Ducks

open access: yesAnimal Research and One Health, EarlyView.
Dietary RSO supplementation improved growth performance, simultaneously enriched n‐3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (n‐3 PUFA), and enhanced antioxidant capacity in Pekin ducks, which suggested that RSO has the potential to be a novel n‐3 PUFA source and an antioxidant for Pekin ducks to generate animal functional foods.

Fabricating Partial Acylglycerols for Food Applications

open access: yesColloids and Interfaces
The functional characteristics of Partial acylglycerols (PAGs) have attracted the attention of researchers in designing PAGs for food applications as a potential substitute for conventional fats/oils. Designing PA using enzymes has been of great interest

Calcitriol transmembrane signalling: regulation of rat muscle phospholipase D activity

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1998
In rat skeletal muscle, calcitriol, the hormonal form of vitamin D3, rapidly stimulates the biphasic formation of diacylglycerol (DAG), the second phase being independent of phosphoinositide hydrolysis driven by phospholipase C.

Exploring the Roles of Tuna‐Associated Acinetobacter sp. YFT067: Implications for Host Health and Metabolism

open access: yesAnimal Research and One Health, EarlyView.
This study firstly isolated a tuna‐derived gut probiotic Acinetobacter seifertii YFT067. Dietary administration of YFT067 played significant roles in promoting growth performance, SCFAs production, lipid absorption, and metabolism of the host, indicating YFT067 as a promising probiotic candidate for enhancing tuna aquaculture productivity through ...

亚麻籽甘油二酯油中甘油二酯异构体的 气相色谱-质谱联用表征Characterization of diacylglycerol isomers in flaxseed diacylglycerol oil using GC-MS

open access: yesZhongguo youzhi

Characterization of AtDGK2 in relation to Contact Sites [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Contact Sites are conserved cellular regions where two membranes of different organelles are very close but not merged. Contact sites between the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and the plasma membrane (ER-PM CS) play important roles in metabolic functions ...

The Carboxyl-Terminal Segment of Apolipoprotein A-V Undergoes a Lipid-Induced Conformational Change [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Apolipoprotein (apo) A-V is a 343-residue, multidomain protein that plays an important role in regulation of plasma triglyceride homeostasis. Primary sequence analysis revealed a unique tetraproline sequence (Pro293-Pro296) near the carboxyl terminus of ...
