Synthesis and Oxidative Degradation of Leucine-Based Poly(diacylhydrazine). [PDF]

open access: goldPolymers (Basel)
Diacylhydrazine is thermally and chemically stable, and it remains inert to oxygen even at high temperatures. However, it is rapidly oxidized by sodium hypochlorite, leading to its decomposition into carboxylic acid and nitrogen gas. In the synthesis of a novel poly(diacylhydrazine) as an oxidatively degradable polymer, L-leucine methyl ester is ...

Discovery of Simple Diacylhydrazine-Functionalized Cinnamic Acid Derivatives as Potential Microtubule Stabilizers. [PDF]

open access: goldInt J Mol Sci, 2022
To develop novel microtubule-binding agents for cancer therapy, an array of N-cinnamoyl-N’-(substituted)acryloyl hydrazide derivatives were facilely synthesized through a two-step process. Initially, the antiproliferative activity of these title compounds was explored against A549, 98 PC-3 and HepG2 cancer cell lines.

Domain Swapping in Abiotic Foldamers [PDF]

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 136, Issue 28, July 8, 2024.
Foldamer sequences that adopt tertiary helix-turn-helix folds mediated by helix-helix hydrogen bonding in organic solvents have been previously reported. In an attempt to create genuine abiotic quaternary structures, i.e.

Controlling (E/Z)‐Stereoselectivity of −NHC=O Chlorination: Mechanism Principles for Wide Scope Applications [PDF]

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 30, Issue 60, October 28, 2024.
Organic halogen compounds are cornerstones of applied chemical sciences. Halogen substitution is a smart molecular design strategy adopted to influence reactivity, membrane permeability and receptor interaction.

Field applications of zein as a precise nanoscale delivery system for methoxyfenozide. [PDF]

open access: yesJ Insect Sci, 2023
When insecticides are applied in the environment, much of the product does not reach the target pest. Biopolymeric nanoparticles as nanocarriers have the potential to improve insecticide efficacy by improving absorption, coverage, and permeability while ...

Mode of action of nonsteroidal ecdysone agonists, diacylhydrazine analogs

open access: bronzeJournal of Pesticide Science, 2005
The binding affinity of insect molting hormone agonists, N-tert-butyl-N,N′-diacylhydrazine (DAH) analogs, against the molting hormone receptor proteins (EcR/USP) was measured. For the lepidopteran Chilo suppressalis, the receptor-binding activity of DAH analogs correlated linearly with their molting hormonal activity (in vitro) and insecticidal ...

Construction of Thiadiazole-Linked Covalent Organic Frameworks via Facile Linkage Conversion with Superior Photocatalytic Properties. [PDF]

open access: yesAdv Sci (Weinh), 2023
A facile and general strategy is developed to prepare thiadiazole‐linked covalent organic frameworks for photocatalytic H2 production. They serve as ideal platforms for understanding structure‐activity relationships toward the water‐splitting in the thiadiazole‐based polymer, which provide a new insight to rational design of COFs‐based photocatalyst ...

Hydrolysis of 1-Isopropylidene-2, 2-diacylhydrazine

open access: bronzeYAKUGAKU ZASSHI, 1959
Complex formation of Cu(II), Co(II), Ni(II), and Zn(II) ions with nonsymmetric 1,2-diacylhydrazines (DAHs) in ammonia solutions was studied. [M(II): [DAH] ratios were found by equilibrium slope, isomolar series, and conductometric titration methods to be 1: 1 and 1: 2 for Cu(II), 2: 1 and 1: 1 for Co(II), 2: 1 and 1: 1 for Ni(II), and 1: 1 for Zn(II ...

Activity Profiling of Nitro-Substituted Di(Hetero)Aryl 1,3,4- and 1,2,4-Oxadiazoles: Antimicrobial, Cholinesterase Inhibition and Antioxidant Potential. [PDF]

open access: yesArch Pharm (Weinheim)
Novel nitro‐substituted diaryl 1,3,4‐ and 1,2,4‐oxadiazoles were synthesised via molecular hybridisation of bioactive heterocycles. Selected derivatives exhibited potent antimicrobial activity, including against Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Staphylococcus aureus, and cholinesterase inhibitory activity, with promising selectivity.
