Breastfeeding provides various benefits, such as supporting the immune system and promoting brain and physical development. Infant formulas are a viable alternative to support growth when breastfeeding is not feasible. The review emphasizes that both methods are important and calls for personalized feeding guidance based on the mother's health, living ...

Small extracellular vesicles (RsEVs) derived from metronidazole‐resistant Giardia lamblia clones (WB/1267MTZr and GS/MMTZr) modulated drug sensitivity in wildtype parasites by altering reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels and the expression of MTZ‐metabolising enzymes in a genotype‐dependent manner.

Disruption of Spike Priming in Virus Entry: Tetrandrine as a Pan‐Coronavirus Inhibitor
Tetrandrine inhibits the infection of HCoV‐OC43, HCoV‐229E, SARS‐CoV‐2, and its major variants by blocking virus entry. Specifically, tetrandrine breaks the interaction between TMPRSS2 and Spike, therefore suppress its priming and the following membrane fusion, and induces Spike to degradation.

This graphical representation illustrates the multifaceted nature of the immune response in viral infections, demonstrating both its protective and potentially harmful aspects. While a properly regulated immune reaction facilitates viral clearance and promotes general recovery, an overly robust or misdirected response—exemplified by Type III or Type IV

ABSTRACT Clinical microbiology involves the detection and differentiation of primarily bacteria, viruses, parasites and fungi in patients with infections. Billions of people may be colonised by one or more species of common luminal intestinal parasitic protists (CLIPPs) that are often detected in clinical microbiology laboratories; still, our knowledge

The Microbiota‐Gut‐Brain Connection: A New Horizon in Neurological and Neuropsychiatric Disorders
The microbiota‐gut‐brain axis (MGBA) is a crucial regulator of neurological and neuropsychiatric disorders, with gut microbiota dysbiosis linked to various diseases. Gut microbiota changes can lead to neurodegenerative diseases like depression, autism, schizophrenia, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, dementia, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, anxiety, and autism ...
