Analysis of Quality Differences in Rhizoma Musae From Different Origins Based on Rhizosphere Soil Bacterial Diversity and Metabolomics

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 6, June 2026.
This study integrated bacterial diversity and metabolomics to explore correlations among soil factors, rhizosphere microorganisms, and quality of Rhizoma Musae from different origins. Significant differences in active components and 571 differential metabolites were detected, enriched in key secondary metabolism pathways.

Apple scar skin viroid causes dapple and scar skin apple diseases by disrupting phenylpropanoid‐mediated metabolic pathways

open access: yesNew Plant Protection, Volume 3, Issue 2, June 2026.
Dapple apple and scar skin apple diseases are closely associated with suppression of anthocyanin biosynthesis and enhancement of suberin biosynthesis. Apple scar skin viroid (ASSVd) infection represses anthocyanin biosynthesis in apple callus. Abstract Apple scar skin viroid (ASSVd) causes dapple and scar skin apple diseases, posing serious threats to ...

Tetrahydropyran- and Tetrahydrofuran-Containing Diarylheptanoids from Hedychium coronarium Rhizomes

open access: yes, 2017
Seven new diarylheptanoids (1-7) were isolated from the n-BuOH-soluble fraction of the rhizome of Hedychium coronarium. Hedycoropyrans A-C (1-3) contain a tetrahydropyran moiety, while hedycorofurans A-D (4-7) contain a tetrahydrofuran moiety, belonging ...

Traversing the effects of ploidy changes in different Eragrostis curvula genotypes through high‐throughput RNA sequencing

open access: yesThe Plant Genome, Volume 19, Issue 2, June 2026.
Abstract Polyploidization has played a key role in plant genome evolution. Eragrostis curvula (Schrad.) Ness, a perennial forage grass species of the Poaceae family, is an excellent model for investigating genome duplication due to its natural variation in ploidy levels.

Efficacy of a diarylheptanoid derivative against Leishmania amazonensis [PDF]

open access: yesMemórias do Instituto Oswaldo Cruz, 2003
The activity of several diarylheptanoid derivatives (curcuminoids) was previously evaluated against Leishmania amazonensis promastigotes and among them the most active compound was the [1-(4-methoxy-phenyl)-7-(3,4-methoxy-4-hydroxy-phenyl)-1,6-heptadien-3, 5-dione]. This derivative was chosen to be assayed in vivo in a treatment trial.
