Origins of micellar diastereoselectivity
Journal of the American Chemical Society, 1984AbstractBei der Spaltung der diastereomeren Peptid‐p‐nitrophenylester (I) durch Einwirkung von Micellen der mit einer Thiolgruppe funktionalisierten oberflächenaktiven Substanz (IIIa) [→(II)] wird eine ausgeprägte kinetische Diastereoselektivität (k.D.) beobachtet: Beim pH 8 und Konzentrationen von ∼6‐7·10‐3 M z.B.

This chapter addresses diastereoselectivity. It explains how to make compounds as single diastereoisomers. The chapter begins by differentiating between stereospecific and stereoselective reactions. In stereospecific reactions, the mechanism means that the stereochemistry of the starting material determines the stereochemistry of the product and there ...

A diastereoselective synthesis of (±) trichodiene
Tetrahedron Letters, 1989Abstract A route to the total synthesis of the title compound is described. The key step involves the [3,3] sigmatropic of the silyl keteneacetal derived from an allylic β-ketoester. The potential application of this protocol to the construction of the higher trichothecenes is also discussed.
