The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index: Reliability, Factor Structure, and Related Clinical Factors among Children, Adolescents, and Young Adults with Chronic Pain. [PDF]
This study is aimed at assessing the psychometric properties and the factorial structure of the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) in a clinical sample of children, adolescents, and young adults with chronic pain. Data of 482 participants (aged 8‐21 years) from two crosssectional studies and a chronic pain services outpatient clinic were analyzed ...

Abstract For the last ten years, within molecular life sciences, the reproducibility crisis discourse has been embodied as a crisis of trust in scientific images. Beyond the contentious perception of “questionable research practices” associated with a digital turn in the production of images, this paper highlights the transformations of gel ...

Abstract Flow is an intrinsic motivational state associated with full task engagement, positive affect, and enhanced performance. While research has examined how different language tasks interact with flow experiences, no study has examined learner flow experiences in a wide range of tasks using an experience sampling method to determine how universal ...

In this paper, we develop an efficient numerical method to approximate the solution of fractional integro‐differential equations (FI‐DEs) of mixed Volterra−Fredholm type using spectral collocation method with shifted Chebyshev polynomials of the third kind (S‐Cheb‐3). The fractional derivative is described in the Caputo sense.

This paper suggests an accurate numerical method based on a sixth‐order compact difference scheme and explicit fourth‐order Runge–Kutta approach for the heat equation with nonclassical boundary conditions (NCBC). According to this approach, the partial differential equation which represents the heat equation is transformed into several ordinary ...

In this study, an accurate and efficient numerical method based on spectral collocation is presented to solve integral equations and integrodifferential equations of n‐th order. The method is developed using compact combinations of shifted Legendre polynomials as a spectral basis and shifted Legendre–Gauss–Lobatto nodes as collocation points to ...

Powerful knowledge, transformations and Didaktik/curriculum thinking
From the vantage point of knowledge transformations entailed in curriculum making, this article seeks to contribute to a rethinking of the concept of powerful knowledge. It makes a case for linking the teaching of content knowledge to the development of human powers (understanding, ways of thinking, capabilities and dispositions) by way of knowledge ...

Training future generations to deliver evidence‐based conservation and ecosystem management
To be effective, the next generation of conservation practitioners and managers need to be critical thinkers and understand how to make evidence‐based decisions. As educators, we should make these a core part of what we teach to prepare our students to make an effective contribution to conservation practice.
