The characteristics of human lingual, breast milk, and pancreatic lipases as related to the digestion of dietary fats in infants are discussed. The activity and specificity of these enzymes and structure of the dietary fats largely determine the rates of

This study constructs a stacked multimodal machine learning model for nonalcoholic fattly liver disease (NAFLD) by integrating genetic and clinical features, and synthesize an in‐silico quantitative marker (ISNLD) that enables personalized risk stratification for intrahepatic and extrahepatic outcomes of high‐risk individuals of NAFLD.

The association between dietary fat intake and benign breast diseases: a systematic review
Summary: Benign breast diseases (BBDs) may herald breast cancer, and diet is one of the most important environmental factors associated with both conditions. Dietary fat intake has been suggested as a potential risk factor for BBDs.

Tregs‐Exos deliver miR‐218‐5p to increase mitophagy in podocytes by inhibiting the TNC/TLR4/SRC/FUNDC1 pathway. RGD‐Treg‐Exos, engineered to express RGD peptides on the membrane surface, bind to integrins on the surface of podocytes and effectively target podocytes for the delivery of miR‐218‐5p, which increases mitophagy and reduces apoptosis in ...

This study investigates hypoglycemia‐induced diabetic macrovascular endothelial dysfunction. It reveals that hypoglycemia triggers ZBP1‐dependent PANoptosis of endothelial cells, proinflammatory polarization of macrophages, and fibrosis of vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) in diabetic mice.

This study demonstrates that the transport of lactate to the mitochondria is of critical importance in determining the functions of macrophages by altering mitochondrial respiration. In macrophages, this lactate transport mechanism regulates glucose homeostasis by influencing the functions of insulin‐secreting cells in the pancreatic islets.

D‐glucuronyl C5‐Epimerase Binds to EGFR to Suppress Kidney Fibrosis
Glucuronyl C5‐epimerase (Hsepi, gene name Glce) is a key enzyme catalyzing heparan sulfate (HS) chain biosynthesis in HS proteoglycans, which are ubiquitously expressed on cell membranes. In normal renal tubular cells, Glce binds to the intracellular domains of EGFR, maintaining stable and orderly EGFR phosphorylation.

There is increasing evidence for the interaction between gut microbiome, diet, and health. It is known that dysbiosis is related to disease and that most of the times this imbalances in gut microbial populations can be promoted through diet.
