RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

Mission Planning and Control of Multi-Aircraft Systems With Signal Temporal Logic Specifications

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
This paper focuses on optimization-based control of multi-aircraft systems that have several mission objectives. Signal Temporal Logic (STL) is used to express the mission specifications that combine temporal and logical constraints.

Unimodular completion and direct flat representation in the context of differential flatness [PDF]

open access: yesPAMM, 2016
AbstractDespite its significance in nonlinear controller design, the verification of the property of differential flatness and the identification of so‐called flat outputs is a continuing research topic. However, the difficulty of both verification and identification heavily depends on the representation of the system.

Hands‐on protocol for preparing water‐soluble fractions from agri‐food samples for NMR‐based metabolomics analysis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This research protocol outlines a workflow for nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR)‐based metabolomics in the agri‐food sector. Using two case studies—strawberry leaves (solid matrix) and wine (liquid matrix)—it details the procedures for sample preparation, data acquisition, and processing.

An All-Pass Topology to Design a 0-360° Continuous Phase Shifter with Low Insertion Loss and Constant Differential Phase Shift

open access: yes, 2014
International audienceIn this paper, an analog phase shifter is designed by using a novel all-pass topology. The phase shift can be continuously adjusted from 0 up to 380° by biasing varactor-diodes while maintaining the differential phase shift constant

Antibiofilm activity of a chionodracine‐derived peptide by NMR‐based metabolomics of cell‐free supernatant of Acinetobacter baumannii clinical strains

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
KHS‐Cnd peptide is able to impair biofilm formation and disaggregate mature biofilms in Acinetobacter baumannii clinical isolates. Differences in extracellular metabolites reflect changes in biofilm metabolism due to KHS‐Cnd treatment. Among the differentially represented extracellular metabolites upon KHS‐Cnd treatment, the significantly altered ...

On the uniqueness theorem of Holmgren [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We rereview the classical Cauchy-Kovalevskaya theorem and the related uniqueness theorem of Holmgren, in the simple setting of powers of the Laplacian and a smooth curve segment in the plane.

Length spectra of flat metrics coming from $q$-differentials [PDF]

open access: yesGroups, Geometry, and Dynamics, 2020
When geometric structures on surfaces are determined by the lengths of curves, it is natural to ask: which curves’ lengths do we really need to know? It is a result of Duchin, Leininger, and Rafi that any flat metric induced by a unit-norm quadratic differential is determined by its marked ...

Raman‐based label‐free microscopic analysis of the pancreas in living zebrafish larvae

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Forward stimulated Raman scattering (F‐SRS) and epi coherent anti‐Stokes Raman scattering (E‐CARS) allow label‐free discrimination of distinct subcellular structures in the pancreas of living zebrafish larvae. Given the straightforward applicability, we anticipate broad implementation of Raman microscopy in other organs and across various biomedical ...
