Ionomycin suppresses cancer cell growth by disrupting mitochondrial transcription
In this study, we identify a new function for the selective Ca2+ ionophore, ionomycin, as an inhibitor of mitochondrial transcription. Both total and nascent RNA analyses revealed that ionomycin treatment reduces the transcription of mitochondrial genes.

Differential Flatness of Lifting-Wing Quadcopters Subject to Drag and Lift for Accurate Tracking [PDF]
In this paper, we propose an effective unified control law for accurately tracking agile trajectories for lifting-wing quadcopters with different installation angles, which have the capability of vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) as well as high-speed ...

Design of Controller for MMC-RPC Based on Differential Flatness Control Theory
In order to improve the anti-disturbance performance and achieve more accurate control effect of MMC-RPC, a dynamic mathematical model was established for the railway static power conditioner (RPC) by using the modular multilevel converter (MMC ...

Optimizing photoexcitation conditions for time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering experiments
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering (TR‐XSS) is a powerful technique to visualize how proteins change their structure in real time after light activation. Selecting the right laser photoexcitation conditions—fluence, excitation geometry, and sample refresh rate—is critical to maximize the experimental signal while avoiding unwanted side effects ...

Point Mass Planning and NMPC Tracking for Time-Optimal Agile Quadrotor Gate Navigation
Time-optimal agile flight through a sequence of three-dimensional gates requires a consistent coupling between trajectory planning and tracking control. Point-mass planners offer fast numerical solutions for free-final-time optimisation, but the value of

In silico and in vitro exploration of a tyrosinase for biocatalytic production of catechols
Tyrosinase from Ralstonia pseudosolanacearum is a promising biocatalyst for producing valuable catechols from monophenol substrates. This tyrosinase is uniquely suited to this due to its high monophenolase : diphenolase ratio. We combined in silico docking and in vivo kinetic characterisation of this tyrosinase with 11 industrially relevant monophenols,

Improvement of Flatness for Nonlocal Phase Transitions
We establish an improvement of flatness result for critical points of Ginzburg-Landau energies with long-range interactions. It applies in particular to solutions of $(-\Delta)^{s/2}u=u-u^3$ in $\Bbb{R}^n$ with $s\in(0,1)$.
