Optimal drilling efforts and industry structure

open access: yesAIMS Environmental Science
We consider a resource extraction model with the possibility of extending the resource stock by drilling efforts and an oligopolistic competition of symmetric firms.

A terrorism-based differential game: Nash differential game [PDF]

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2021
AbstractIn this paper, we investigate the problem of combating terrorism by the government, which is one of the most serious problems that direct governments and countries. We formulate the problem and use the Nash approach of a differential game to obtain the optimal strategies for combating terrorism.

Solution Sets for Inverse Non-Cooperative Linear-Quadratic Differential Games

open access: yesIEEE Control Systems Letters, 2019
This letter addresses the inverse problem of differential games, where the aim is to compute cost functions which lead to observed Nash equilibrium trajectories.

A Game-Theoretic Framework for Autonomous Vehicles Velocity Control: Bridging Microscopic Differential Games and Macroscopic Mean Field Games [PDF]

open access: yesDiscrete & Continuous Dynamical Systems - B, 2019
This paper proposes an efficient computational framework for longitudinal velocity control of a large number of autonomous vehicles (AVs) and develops a traffic flow theory for AVs. Instead of hypothesizing explicitly how AVs drive, our goal is to design

Recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming and confer resistance to targeted therapies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.

Survey on spacecraft orbital pursuit-evasion differential games

open access: yesScientia Sinica Technologica, 2020
a game with incomplete or imperfect information and one with impulsive thrust. Finally, we conclude with a discussion of open challenges and directions for future research on spacecraft orbital PE.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Decomposition of Differential Games [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
This paper provides a decomposition technique for the purpose of simplifying the solution of certain zero-sum differential games. The games considered terminate when the state reaches a target, which can be expressed as the union of a collection of ...

ATG4B is required for mTORC1‐mediated anabolic activity and is associated with clinical outcomes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The relationship between anabolic and catabolic processes governing lung cancer cell growth is nuanced. We show that ATG4B, an autophagy regulator, is elevated in lung cancer and that high ATG4B is associated with worse patient outcomes. Targeting ATG4B in cells reduces growth, protein synthesis, and mTORC1 activity, demonstrating a new relationship ...
