Integrated Ultrasonic Platform for Bioelectronic Control through Biological Barriers Based on Metasurface

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A metasurface‐enabled ultrasonic platform achieves precise multi‐focal control through biological barriers, real‐time physiology‐driven modulation, and simultaneous wireless power and data transmission. By unifying wavefront engineering, closed‐loop feedback, and acoustic communication, this work establishes key enabling technologies toward scalable ...

Observation of Excitonic Instability in a Monolayer Ta2NiSe5 With Strain Disorder

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Monolayer Ta2${\rm Ta}_2$NiSe5${\rm NiSe}_5$ sustains an excitonic insulating phase up to 190 K, with Raman signatures of gap opening and critical excitonic fluctuations. Thickness‐independent large gap ratios highlight strong exciton‐phonon coupling, while substrate‐induced strain disorder depresses Tc, establishing monolayer Ta2${\rm Ta}_2$NiSe5${\rm

New grating compressor designs for XCELS and SEL-100 PW projects

open access: yesHigh Power Laser Science and Engineering
The problem of optimizing the parameters of a laser pulse compressor consisting of four identical diffraction gratings is solved analytically. The goal of optimization is to obtain maximum pulse power, completely excluding both beam clipping on gratings ...

Dielectric‐Confinement‐Induced in‐Plane Photoelectric Anisotropy in Isotropic Quasi‐1D γ‐GaS Nanoribbon

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We investigate the geometry‐governed optoelectronic anisotropy arising from dielectric confinement in quasi‐1D γ‐GaS nanoribbons with intrinsically isotropic atomic structures. Dielectric mismatch between the nanoribbon and its surroundings leads to a general polarization‐dependent photoresponse during near‐field scattering.

Rutherford Diffraction Gratings [PDF]

open access: yes
Diffraction gratings made by Lewis Morris Rutherfurd, an important early maker of these devices. The gratings are dated March 14th, 1877, March 29th, 1879, and April 17th, 1879.

Microblasting Wound Dressings Mechanically Disrupt Polymicrobial Biofilms to Enhance Healing in Treatment‐Resistant Wounds

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Treatment‐resistant wounds caused by polymicrobial biofilms are refractory to conventional therapies due to the dense extracellular matrices. We developed μBLAST, a microblasting wound dressing that combines MnO2‐doped biosilica and a H2O2‐releasing mesh to generate localized oxygen microbubbles that mechanically disrupt biofilms.

Generation of Diffraction Gratings Using Photographic Film [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The properties of light is one of the most interesting and complex topics in physics. For instance, multiple sources of light can interact with each other to create what are known as diffraction patterns – a series of alternating bright and dark spots ...

Sulfonated Bathocuproine Derivatives as Chemically Bonded Buried‐Interface Engineers for n–i–p Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A BCP‐derived buried‐interface strategy establishes Na‐BCS as a chemically bonded molecular bridge. By combining sulfonate anchoring to SnO2 with preserved BCP–Pb2+ coordination, Na‐BCS simultaneously passivates oxide‐ and perovskite‐side defects, suppresses non‐radiative recombination, and delivers a surface recombination velocity of 8.6 cm s−1, a ...
