Electronically Controlled 35-bit Substrate Integrated Waveguide Phase Shifter

open access: yesIEEE Access
A 35-bit electronically-controlled digital substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) phase shifter with high phase resolution and large phase shift range is proposed in this paper. The main part of phase shifter contains two rows of metallic vias in each side

Modelling stem cell differentiation related processes—A practical overview for biologists

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Stem cell differentiation is complex and difficult to control experimentally. This review introduces suitable computational modelling approaches that can support stem cell research, from mechanistic ODE and abstract models to multiscale and deep learning methods.

A Multimode 28 GHz CMOS Fully Differential Beamforming IC for Phased Array Transceivers

open access: yesSensors, 2023
A 28 GHz fully differential eight-channel beamforming IC (BFIC) with multimode operations is implemented in 65 nm CMOS technology for use in phased array transceivers. The BFIC has an adjustable gain and phase control on each channel to achieve fine beam

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Periodic template compensation phase feeding method for phased array antenna

open access: yesIET Microwaves, Antennas & Propagation, 2023
To minimise the beam‐pointing error caused by the digital phase shifter in phased array antenna systems, a periodic template compensation (PTC) phase feeding algorithm is proposed in this study.

Image-Rejected Multi-Band Frequency Down-Conversion Based on Photonic Sampling

open access: yesPhotonics, 2022
An image-rejected multi-band frequency down-conversion scheme is proposed and experimentally demonstrated based on photonic sampling. The multi-band radio-frequency (RF) signals to be processed are copied into two replicas in quadrature, which are then ...

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

A New Look at the Coding in Time-Modulated Arrays

open access: yesInternational Journal of Information and Communication Technology Research, 2021
In this paper, we show that the digital code bits used in the coded time-modulated arrays (TMA) can be interpreted as vector elements, and with this new interpretation, a better understanding of the relationship between the codes and the amplitude/phase ...

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.
