Anchorage‐independent and faster growth in clonal population from UV‐irradiated NER‐deficient cells
UV‐irradiated cells expressing a DDB2 mutant protein unable to interact with PCNA (DDB2PCNA‐) form clones able to grow without anchorage. Different experimental approaches reveal heterogeneity in cell cycle regulation and drug response within these clones, emphasizing the crucial role of the DDB2‐PCNA interaction in preventing cellular transformation ...

Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains
The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.

Application of terrestrial‚ 'structure-from-motion' photogrammetry on a medium-size Arctic valley glacier: potential, accuracy and limitations [PDF]
Terrestrial photogrammetry was the standard method for mapping high mountain terrain in the early days of mountain cartography, until it was replaced by aerial photogrammetry and airborne laser scanning.

Development of human monoclonal antibodies against TARM1 by yeast display
Human monoclonal antibodies against TARM1 are generated by yeast display‐guided selection. These antibodies bind to soluble and cell‐surface forms of TARM1. Also, these antibodies exhibit agonistic activity in the NFAT‐GFP reporter assay, indicating that TARM1 signaling can be functionally modulated by antibodies and suggesting TARM1 as a potential ...

Parameter identification of a mechanical ductile damage using Artificial Neural Networks in sheet metal forming. [PDF]
In this paper, we report on the developed and used of finite element methods, have been developed and used for sheet forming simulations since the 1970s, and have immensely contributed to ensure the success of concurrent design in the manufacturing ...

Digital Surface Modelling by Airborne Laser Scanning and Digital Photogrammetry for Glacier Monitoring [PDF]
The research described in this paper is part of a Swiss National Science Foundation project on ”Mass Balance Determination of Glaciers with the Use of State‐of‐the‐art Remote Sensing Methods and a Numerical Flow Model”. The remote sensing methods involve automated processing of aerial images and laser scanning and aim to produce glacier surface models ...

Digital twins to accelerate target identification and drug development for immune‐mediated disorders
Digital twins integrate patient‐derived molecular and clinical data into personalised computational models that simulate disease mechanisms. They enable rapid identification and validation of therapeutic targets, prediction of drug responses, and prioritisation of candidate interventions.

Identification and classification of surface defects for digital twin models of the workpiece.
Workpiece surface defect detection is an indispensable part of intelligent production. The surface information obtained by traditional 2D image detection has some limitations due to the influence of environmental light factors and part complexity ...
