Synthesis and in vitro study of antiproliferative benzyloxy dihydropyrimidinones

Archiv Der Pharmazie, 2021
AbstractIn this study, we report on antiproliferative benzyloxy dihydropyrimidinones (DHPMs) produced by the Biginelli reaction of benzyloxy benzaldehyde, urea, and diverse 1,3‐diones. The reaction was catalyzed by lanthanum triflate and completed within 1–1.5 h, with 74–97% yield.

Efficient aerobic oxidative dehydrogenation of dihydropyrimidinones and dihydropyrimidines

Tetrahedron, 2011
Abstract 4-Substituted dihydropyrimidinones and dihydropyrimidines were first efficient aerobic oxidized to the corresponding pyrimidinones and pyrimidines, respectively, in high yields by molecular oxygen in the presence of catalytic amount of N -hydroxyphthalimide (NHPI) and Co(OAc) 2 in a mild and environmental benign condition.

SAR studies on dihydropyrimidinone antibiotics

Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry Letters, 2011
There is an urgent need for the development of novel antimicrobial agents that offer effective treatment against MRSA. Using a new class of dipeptide antibiotic TAN-1057A/B as lead, we designed, synthesized and evaluated analogs of TAN-1057A/B. Several novel dihydropyrimidinone antibiotics demonstrating comparable antibiotic efficacy while possessing ...

Recent Advance in the Pharmacology of Dihydropyrimidinone

Mini-Reviews in Medicinal Chemistry, 2012
Dihydropyrimidinones (DHPMs) are a series of highly valuable small molecules possessing versatile pharmaceutical properties. Although the first one-pot synthesis of DHPMs had been reported more than 100 years ago, the fascinating achievement in DHPMs-based pharmacology during the past century promoted durative interests to the pharmacological and ...
