Detection and spectrophotometric determination of cobalt with dimedone dioxime

Talanta, 1974
Dimedone dioxime forms coloured complexes only with cobalt, nickel and copper ions in alkaline solution. Acidification and solvent extraction enables cobalt (1-50 mug) to be determined spectrophotometrically without interference. A specific spot test for cobalt is based on the same reaction.

Enhydrazine, 4 Die Umsetzung von Dimedon mit Hydrazonen

Chemische Berichte, 1972

Non-cytotoxic Dimedone Derivatives: Structure, Antiradical and UV Protective Studies

Drug Research, 2013
Dimedone derivatives (L1-L4) with methyl substitution at the ortho, para and meta positions were synthesized and their anti-radical, photoreactive and photostability activities were evaluated. All compounds are characterized by spectroscopic techniques and by single crystal X ray diffraction.

Relationship Between Dimedone Concentration and Formaldehyde Captured in Plant Tissues

Acta Biologica Hungarica, 1998
In different parts of water-melon plants (Citrullus vulgaris L.) formaldehyde (HCHO), in dimedone adduct form (formaldemethone), and fully N-methylated substances were identified and determined by OPLC as well as HPLC, capillary GC and GC-MS methods using authentic substances.
