Characterization and phylogenetic analysis of the chloroplast genome of Diospyros aff. oleifera

The Diospyros genus (Ebenaceae) has significant economic value. During field surveys, we discovered a Diospyros specimen showing morphological overlap with both D. oleifera and D. kaki var. silvestris, provisionally named Diospyros aff. oleifera.

Root Traits Predict the Soil Functional Responses of Subtropical Plant Species to Experimental Drought

Plant species' habitat preference and drought tolerance traits were not the primary factors driving interspecific differences in soil functional responses to drought. Instead, fine root traits—particularly their chemical traits—played more critical roles in determining these variations.
