An Oligomeric Ser-Pro Dipeptide Mimetic Assuming the Polyproline II Helix Conformation
Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2002A hexapeptide assembled from dipeptide building blocks assumes the secondary structure of the polyproline II (PPII) helix. Side chain-to-backbone hydrogen bonds stabilize peptide torsions next to the fused ring systems. The solution structure of the polyhydroxylated peptide was studied by spectroscopic methods.

Synthetic Approach to Dipeptide Mimetics Based on Aminoacyl Incorporation Reaction
2001Actual progress in the area of modem drug design is largely dependent on the practical accessibility of a variety of small molecule mimetics of naturally occurring bio-molecules, which command increasing interest of researchers involved in drug discovery technology.

A New Conformationally Restricted Mimetic of Dipeptide EG – Synthesis of an Analogue of FEG
European Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2007AbstractStarting from the chiral pyrrolidin‐2‐one 2, the carboxy group at C‐4 underwent homologation, and subsequent removal of the 1‐(4‐methoxyphenyl)ethyl group gave lactam 6. Alkylation of N‐1 with benzyl bromoacetate led to 7, a new conformationally restricted analogue of the dipeptide EG (Glu‐Gly).

Abstract The design and synthesis of conformationally constrained, non-peptide templates (trisubstituted indanes) which allow the incorporation of two adjacent amino acid side-chains plus a third binding group in an orientation similar to that found in alpha-helices is reported. The tachykinin receptor affinity of various Phe-Phe and Trp-Phe mimetics

[Hypocoagulant effect of the novel dipeptide NGF mimetic GK-2].
Eksperimental'naia i klinicheskaia farmakologiia, 2014The effect of an original dimeric dipeptide NGF mimetic, GK-2 (hexamethylenediamide bis-N-monosuccinyl-L-glutamyl-L-lysine, designed on the basis of the beta-turn of the 4th NGF loop) on the hemostasis and fibrinolysis was studied in intact and diabetic Wistar rats in various periods of disorder development.

On the basis of our previous experience in the synthesis of alkylidene malonates and acetoacetates, we turned our attention to the microwave assisted Knövenagel reaction leading to alkylidene malonamides and acetoacetamides. In particular we prepared derivatives of a-aminoester, that may be envisaged as useful intermediates in the synthesis of ...
