Predictive Direct Yaw Moment Control Based on the Koopman Operator
IEEE Transactions on Control Systems Technology, 2023In this brief, we propose a predictive algorithm for direct yaw moment control (DYC) in which a vehicle model is identified by a finite- dimensional approximation of the Koopman operator. The Koopman operator is a linear predictor for nonlinear dynamical systems based on raising the nonlinear dynamics into a higher-dimensional space where its evolution

Direct yaw-moment control of vehicles based on phase plane analysis
Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part D: Journal of Automobile Engineering, 2021In view of the problems related to vehicle-handling stability and the real-time correction of the heading direction, nonlinear analysis of a vehicle steering system was carried out based on phase plane theory. Subsequently, direct yaw-moment control (DYC) of the vehicle was performed.

Direct Yaw-moment Control Adapted to Driver Behavior Recognition
2006 SICE-ICASE International Joint Conference, 2006This paper proposes direct yaw moment control system (DYC) based on driver intention. Considering driving tasks in lateral motions there are lane keeping lane change and etc. To reflect the driver intention on DYC system two types of desired yaw rate are proposed. One is for the lane keeping control and the other is for vehicle stability control.

Vehicle Direct Yaw Moment Control with Longitudinal Forces Distribution
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014In this paper, a vehicle stability control system is proposed to improve vehicle comfort, handling and stability. The control system includes reference model, DYC controller and Distributer. Reference model is used to obtain the desired yaw rate. DYC controller determines the desired yaw moment by means of sliding-mode technique.

Direct Yaw Moment Controller Design
2021In the previous two decades, numerous studies have been conducted into improving vehicle handling and stability by direct yaw moment control (DYC) [44], [119], [185]. Most traditional ICVs on the market are equipped with brake-based VDC systems.

Direct Yaw Moment Control for Motorized Wheel Electric Vehicles
Volume 6A: 18th Biennial Conference on Mechanical Vibration and Noise, 2001Abstract A new control law for direct yaw moment control of an electric vehicle is developed. Although this study is considered as part of a global control system for the traction control of a four motorized wheel electric vehicle, but the results of this study is quite general and can be applied to other types of vehicles.
