[Articular disk degeneration in the TMJ].
Deutsche Zeitschrift fur Mund-, Kiefer- und Gesichts-Chirurgie, 1990Arthroscopic, macroscopic and histological signs of degenerative changes in the articular disc were found in 228 temporo-mandibular joints from corpses. In this way it was possible to identify a degenerative development series. Three preferred sites are typical of degenerative metaplastic processes: antero-lateral in the fibrocartilaginous section ...

Accretion Disks in Non-Degenerate Binaries
1990Accretion disks play a very important, often dominant, role in cataclysmic variables, that is, in binary systems where the gainer is a degenerate star. In interacting binaries with non-degenerate components, such as the semidetached binaries of the Algol type, the disks play in general a much more subdued role.
