A Direct Inspection of the Displacement Current Using the Phase Measurement [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Communication and Computer, Vol.10, No.01, pp.104-115, Jan., 2013, 2012
After J. C. Maxwell brought forward the concept of displacement currents, H. R. Hertz and other scholars verified the existence of electromagnetic waves in experimental, and then confirmed indirectly the conceptive correctness of displacement currents.

Peripheral blood leukocyte signatures as biomarkers in relapsed ovarian cancer patients receiving combined anti‐CD73/anti‐PD‐L1 immunotherapy in arm A of the NSGO‐OV‐UMB1/ENGOT‐OV30 trial

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using mass cytometry, we analyzed serial blood samples from patients with relapsed epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) treated with oleclumab–durvalumab combination immunotherapy in the NSGO‐OV‐UMB1/ENGOT‐OV30 trial. Our analysis identified potential predictive, monitoring, and response biomarkers detectable through liquid biopsy. These findings facilitate

Anomalous Shock Displacement Probabilities for a Perturbed Scalar Conservation Law [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2012
We consider an one-dimensional conservation law with random space-time forcing and calculate using large deviations the exponentially small probabilities of anomalous shock profile displacements. Under suitable hypotheses on the spatial support and structure of random forces, we analyze the scaling behavior of the rate function, which is the ...

Stochastic variation in the FOXM1 transcription program mediates replication stress tolerance

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cellular heterogeneity is a major cause of drug resistance in cancer. Segeren et al. used single‐cell transcriptomics to investigate gene expression events that correlate with sensitivity to the DNA‐damaging drugs gemcitabine and prexasertib. They show that dampened expression of transcription factor FOXM1 and its target genes protected cells against ...

On displaceability of pre-Lagrangian fibers in contact toric manifolds [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2014
In this note we analyze displaceability of pre-Lagrangian toric fibers in contact toric manifolds. While every symplectic toric manifold contains at least one non-displaceable Lagrangian toric fiber and infinitely many displaceable ones, we show that this is not the case for contact toric manifolds.
