Formation of bicalutamide nanodispersion for dissolution rate enhancement

International Journal of Pharmaceutics, 2011
Bicalutamide was loaded on hydrophilic excipients to form nanodispersions via a combination of anti-solvent precipitation and spray drying method. The particle size, BET surface area, contact angles and dissolution rate of the nanodispersions were analyzed.

Enhanced performance large volume dissolution-DNP

Journal of Magnetic Resonance, 2014
A systematic study of the performance of the dissolution process in dissolution-DNP is presented. A relatively simple set of modifications is made to the standard Hypersense dissolution system to enable polarization of large volume samples. These consist of a large volume sample cup along with supporting modifications to the dissolution head and ...

Dissolution enhancement of cefdinir with hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin

Drug Development and Industrial Pharmacy, 2013
The solid state properties and dissolution behavior of binary systems of cefdinir (CEF) with hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin (HP-β-CD) were investigated. CEF-HP-β-CD interaction in the solution state was studied by phase-solubility analysis and demonstrates the ability of HP-β-CD to complex with CEF giving A(L) type profile with 65.28 ± 1.3 M⁻¹ stability ...

Enhancement of Dissolution and Absorption of Mefenamic Acid by Egg Albumin

Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 1991
The dissolution behavior and absorption of mefenamic acid following oral and rectal administration from drug:egg albumin solid dispersions have been studied in comparison with those of the drug alone. The interaction of drug with egg albumin in aqueous solution and solid state were examined by solubility analysis, dialysis experiments, and X-ray ...

Radiation-Enhanced Aqueous Dissolution of Minerals

MRS Proceedings, 2011
ABSTRACTMineral samples of varying petrology, exposed to ion irradiation and subsequently immersed in water or exposed to a humid environment, show up to 60% depletion of specific surface atoms (Mg, Ca, K, and Na) — a depletion that is enhanced 26,000x compared to unirradiated surfaces.

Enhanced dissolution of phosphate rocks in the rhizosphere

Biology and Fertility of Soils, 1997
Dissolution of two phosphate rocks (PRS) which vary in their chemical reactivity was examined using two soils in the absence (closed-incubation and open-leaching) and presence (thin-layer) of plants. Greater dissolution was obtained in the presence than in the absence of plants.

A swellable polymer as carbamazepine dissolution rate enhancer.

Bollettino chimico farmaceutico, 1990
A superdisintegrant (cross-linked sodium carboxymethylcellulose, Ac-Di-Sol was used for the enhancement of the dissolution rate of carbamazepine, an anti-epileptic drug characterized by very low water solubility. Three different drug/polymer systems were prepared: a physical mixture and two loaded systems obtained using a solvent evaporation method and
