Improvement of the wettability and dissolution of fenofibrate compacts by plasma treatment

International Journal of Pharmaceutics, 2011
The goal of this study was to investigate the effect of plasma treatment on the wettability and dissolution of fenofibrate compacts. Contact angle measurements and intrinsic dissolution rate studies of untreated and plasma-treated fenofibrate compacts were conducted.

Improvement of clofibrate dissolution by complexation with cyclodextrin

International Journal of Pharmaceutics, 1996
Abstract Inclusion complexes of clofibrate with β-cyclodextrin (βCD) were prepared by coprecipitation, kneading and sealed heating methods and characterized by UV spectrophotometry, differential scanning calorimetry, X-ray diffractometry and infrared spectroscopy. All results were in keeping with the formation of 1:1 inclusion complex.

Improvement in the dissolution properties of theophylline with ß-cyclodextrin

2019
An improvement in the dissolution of theophylline with beta-cyclodextrin was achieved by subjecting them to co-grinding and freeze-drying methods. The products obtained were examined by the phase solubility method, differential scanning calorimetry and X-ray diffractometry.

Improved Dissolution of Indomethacin in Coprecipitates with Phospholipids-II

Drug Development and Industrial Pharmacy, 1993
AbstractIndomethacin powders were blended with phospholipids to prepare physical mixtures or made into solid dispersions by the solvent method and their comparative dissolution profiles were studied. Indomethacin exhibited significantly improved dissolution rates in phospholipid coprecipitates compared to either the physical mixtures or the pure ...

Nanocrystallization and Microencapsulation of Natural Pigments for Improved Dissolution and Stability

AAPS PharmSciTech
Natural lipophilic pigments typically exhibit poor water solubility, low dissolution rates, and photothermal instability, which hinder their pharmaceutical application. To address these challenges, a nanosuspension-microencapsulation delivery system was developed using curcumin (CUR) and lutein (LUT) as model compounds to enhance dissolution and ...
