Dissolution Rates of Surfactants

2008
Information on dissolution rates of surfactants is reviewed and discussed. One or more viscous liquidcrystalline phases form during dissolution in water of pure liquid nonionic surfactants of the linear alcoholethoxylate type, as expected from known equilibrium phase diagrams.

Solubility and Dissolution Rate

2019
In the characterization of powdered materials, solubility and dissolution rate are important properties. These properties may become critical when a powdered material is used as a solution or when it can work effectively in a molecular form in solution.

The effect of natural weathering on dissolution rates

Geochimica et Cosmochimica Acta, 1993
Abstract Surface area measurements and dissolution experiments were performed on a naturally weathered mineral assemblage rich in quartz and feldspar. The surface areas of unfractured (612 μm) and ground samples were measured at different levels of surface detail, using a dissecting microscope, SEM, and the BET-krypton method.

Dissolution specifications based on release rates

Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 1999
A procedure based on release rates is proposed for the establishment of dissolution specifications that ensure the bioequivalence of a test and a reference product. This procedure, which confines Cmax (the maximum concentration of the drug in vivo) and AUCinfinity (the area under the time-concentration curve, extrapolated to infinity) values within any

The dissolution rate of chrysotile

2014
Chrysotile can be linked to three diseases: lung cancer, asbestosis, and mesothelioma. The duration and intensity of exposure along with fiber size appear to play an important role in the development of the diseases. Chrysotile is part of the serpentine group which has the general composition of Mg₃Si₂O₅(OH)₄. The fluids in lung tissue contain very low
