New Diterpenes and Diterpene Glycosides with Antibacterial Activity from Soft Coral Lemnalia bournei
Five new biflorane-type diterpenoids, biofloranates E–I (1–5), and two new bicyclic diterpene glycosides, lemnaboursides H–I (6–7), along with the known lemnabourside, were isolated from the South China Sea soft coral Lemnalia bournei.

Euphorbia fajok diterpénjeinek izolálása, szerkezet-meghatározása és farmakológiai vizsgálata = Isolation, structure determination and pharmacological investigation of diterpenes from Euphorbia species [PDF]

Macaranga peltata Alleviates Neuropsychiatric Disorders in Mouse Model and Computational Study
The methanol extract of Macaranga peltata leaves (MEMPL) exhibited notable neuropharmacological and analgesic properties in rodents. Phytochemical and GC–MS analyses confirmed diverse bioactive compounds. MEMPL (200–400 mg/kg) showed anxiolytic, antidepressant, CNS depressant, and antinociceptive effects, comparable to standard drugs.

Besides being important components of landscape‐level biodiversity, medicinal plants are essential resources for traditional and modern healthcare. However, human‐driven biodiversity loss has resulted in the decline of medicinal plant populations. By maintaining connections between nature, culture, and people, sacred natural sites can help counteract ...

The present study developed and characterized a novel copaiba oil polymeric nanoparticle (NPOC), which was efficiently internalized by breast cancer cells, exhibited greater cytotoxicity and selectivity than free copaiba oil and standard drug doxorubicin. NPOC also reduced tumor growth and migration in 3D models.

High metabolic sensitivity to hot drought in two declining pine species with constrained physiology
Read the free Plain Language Summary for this article on the Journal blog. Abstract Decline syndromes preceding tree mortality under increased abiotic stress often include reductions in transpiring leaf area and tree growth. However, the mechanisms regulating the metabolism and physiology of declining trees before they cross irreversible thresholds in ...
