A Type‐3 fuzzy ambiguity encoder converts rolling wind, price, reserve‐activation, and confidence features into central estimates and nested uncertainty bounds. These parameters are updated within a receding‐horizon MILP/MIQP that coordinates wind, battery, and supercapacitor capacity across day‐ahead and ancillary‐service markets.

DIURNAL AND SEMI-DIURNAL TEMPERATURE VARIABILITY OF THE MIDDLE ATMOSPHERE, AS OBSERVED BY ISAMS
Some preliminary results are presented showing that the ISAMS instrument on board the UARS satellite has detected sun-synchronous variations in atmospheric temperature between 15-80 km altitude. These are interpreted as the westward-migrating diurnal and

Energy‐Flow Regimes and Their Temporal Transitions in a PV‐Building System
Unlike production and consumption, which act as external factors, generated energy flows reflect the system's internal behavior regarding energy allocation at each time step. The combination of self‐consumption, surplus, and import of surplus energy into the power grid characterizes how electricity is routed between the building's local consumption and

Accumulation of edible biomass by crop plants relies on maintenance of a high photosynthetic rates across the photoperiod, with assimilation rate (A) generally responding to increasing light intensity in a hyperbolic fashion.

Exploration of the awakening cortisol response in relation to diurnal cortisol secretory activity
Adrenocortical activity can be assessed by measurement of free cortisol in saliva. Cortisol status has important health implications in both physical and psychological terms.

Four PV module temperature models (Ross, Faiman, PVsyst, and SAPM) in pvlib systematically underestimate module temperature, particularly in high‐altitude environments. Site‐specific recalibration substantially reduces model bias, while the limited transferability of empirical coefficients highlights the need for locally adapted parameterization in ...

On the amplitudes of diurnal and semi-diurnal components of geomagnetic variation
Study of the amplitudes of the diurnal and semi-diurnal components of the geomagnetic daily variation in H shows that the solar cycle variation in the two components are different and the relative increase from winter to equinox of the amplitude in semi-diurnal component is more than that for the diurnal component.

Dopa-responsive dystonia and hyperprolactinaemia : a novel association in two sisters [PDF]
Dopa-Responsive Dystonia (DRD) is a rare hereditary condition of childhood-onset dystonia which responds dramatically to treatment with levodopa. It was first described in 1971 as a "hereditary progressive basal ganglia disease with marked diurnal ...

Abstract Background Flysheet use is common without any published scientific evidence to justify their use. Objectives To demonstrate the effectiveness of flysheets at reducing fly avoidance behaviours and measuring changes in body temperature, heart rate, and cortisol levels. Study Design Ten‐week alternating crossover design.
