Functions of human non-coding dna sequences [PDF]
The development of string theory has opened a completely new chapter and the way of thinking. A tight connection between DNA, water and strings, as well as their properties, lead to the idea that the soul is the shelter of our thoughts. Only 2% of the

An Adaptive Mapping Method Using Spectral Envelope Approach for DNA Spectral Analysis
The digital signal processing approaches were investigated as a preliminary indicator for discriminating between the protein coding and non-coding regions of DNA.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Inhomogeneous DNA: conducting exons and insulating introns
Parts of DNA sequences known as exons and introns play very different role in coding and storage of genetic information. Here we show that their conducting properties are also very different.

Deterministic Polynomial-Time Algorithms for Designing Short DNA Words [PDF]
Designing short DNA words is a problem of constructing a set (i.e., code) of n DNA strings (i.e., words) with the minimum length such that the Hamming distance between each pair of words is at least k and the n words satisfy a set of additional ...

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

An Innovative Image Encryption Algorithm Based on the DNAS_box and Hyperchaos
This study proposes an innovative image encryption algorithm based on the DNAS_box and hyperchaos. The algorithm dynamically constructs a DNAS_box using 2-bit deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) coding and 4-bit DNA-like coding, enabling seamless conversion ...

Quantitative sequence and open reading frame analysis based on codon bias [PDF]
The frequencies with which the sixty-four codons occur in human coding DNA are known. If we assume that the codons occur randomly, subject only to these probabilities, then it is possible to predict trinucleotide frequencies in each of the five other ...

Candida albicans repetitive elements display epigenetic diversity and plasticity [PDF]
Transcriptionally silent heterochromatin is associated with repetitive DNA. It is poorly understood whether and how heterochromatin differs between different organisms and whether its structure can be remodelled in response to environmental signals. Here,

This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These
