An interferon gamma-gp120 fusion delivered as a DNA vaccine induces enhanced priming
Nucleic acid vaccination has many potential advantages over traditional methods, but suffers from the fact that DNA vaccines tend to be relatively poorly immunogenic.

A senolytic sonovaccine platform (SenoVac) is developed, in which senescent cell‐derived vesicles serve as broad senescent cell antigen reservior. The “2‐step” click chemistry strategy for effective lymph node delivery, and ultrasound‐triggered endosomal escape to boost cross‐presentation, ensures efficient senescent cell clearance and disease ...

Production of EV71 vaccine candidates
[[abstract]]Enterovirus 71 (EV71) is now recognized as an emerging neurotropic virus in Asia and with Coxsackie virus (CV) it is the other major causative agent of hand-foot-mouth diseases (HFMD).

Pseudorabies virus (PRV), an emerging zoonotic α‐herpesvirus, causes life‐threatening human encephalitis. We identified a broad‐spectrum neutralizing antibody 6F7 targeting PRV gD. It blocks gD‐Nectin‐1 binding and membrane fusion, inhibiting replication across all PRV variants, representing a promising candidate for anti‐PRV therapy.

Novel approaches to improve DNA vaccine efficacy through protein inhibitors and electroporation
[[abstract]]DNA vaccine represents a novel means to stimulate immune response and has provided effective protective immunity in various animals. However, the magnitude of the immune responses induced by DNA immunization varies to a great extent.

Nucleic Acid Therapeutics for “Undruggable” Cancer Targets: Mechanisms, Challenges, and Prospects
Nucleic acid therapeutics bypass the structural limitations of conventional drugs by targeting mRNA rather than proteins. This review examines how antisense oligonucleotides, siRNAs, miRNAs, aptamers, and mRNA vaccines intervene against historically undruggable oncoproteins including Ras, MYC, and p53, highlighting mechanistic advances, delivery ...

Immunisation of the somatostatin gene alters hypothalamic-pituitary-liver gene expressions and enhances growth in Dazu black goats [PDF]
Objective Somatostatin (SS) plays important regulatory roles in animal growth and reproduction by affecting the synthesis and secretion of growth hormone (GH). However, the mechanism by which SS regulates growth and development in goats is still unclear.

Breaking the DNA-vaccine bottleneck
Monash University in Australia has developed a new approach towards DNA vaccine development that has the potential to cut the time it takes to produce a vaccine from up to nine months to four weeks or less.

Radiotherapy‐treated tumor membranes are integrated with Mn‐MOF nanoadjuvants to generate Mn@RM, a lymph node‐draining nanovaccine that delivers radiotherapy‐remodeled antigenic components. Mn@RM enhances dendritic cell activation, amplifies T cell‐mediated antitumor immunity, and synergizes with radiotherapy and PD‐1 blockade for combination cancer ...
