OPA1-related disorders: Diversity of clinical expression, modes of inheritance and pathophysiology
Mutations in the Optic Atrophy 1 gene (OPA1) were first identified in 2000 as the main cause of Dominant Optic Atrophy, a disease specifically affecting the retinal ganglion cells and the optic nerve.

Lipoprotein‐mimicking nanoparticles (SL‐NPs), comprising Fe3O4@SiO2 cores coated with liposomal bilayers, selectively capture lipoproteins through protein corona formation. The resulting SL‐NP‐lipoprotein complexes can be removed by low‐speed centrifugation, thereby enhancing the purity of small extracellular vesicles (sEVs) isolated from human serum ...

A gas‐fed, zero‐gap, PEM CO2 electrolyzer is realized by incorporating PDDA+ ions onto the carbonaceous Co/N‐C electrocatalyst, with gaseous H2 and CO2 fed into the anode and cathode, respectively. Operating without an aqueous electrolyte, the system sustains a peak FECO of 65.1% at 100 mA cm−2. ABSTRACT Electrochemical carbon dioxide reduction (ECO2R)

Optic Coherence Tomography in Patients with Dominant Optic Atrophy
In dominant optic atrophy (DOA), the few available histopathologic reports appear to demonstrate selective loss of retinal ganglion cells with ascending optic atrophy, the loss being most pronounced in the macular area and retinal nerve fiber loss most ...
