Metabolic reprogramming is associated with cancer development and therapy resistance. Here, the authors show that downregulation of the serine biosynthesis enzyme PHGDH in a fraction of patients is associated with relapse in platinum-treated ovarian ...

ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

Human phosphodiesterase 4D7 (PDE4D7) expression is increased in TMPRSS2-ERG positive primary prostate cancer and independently adds to a reduced risk of post-surgical disease progression [PDF]
background: There is an acute need to uncover biomarkers that reflect the molecular pathologies, underpinning prostate cancer progression and poor patient outcome.

Chromosome 6 open reading frame 106 (C6orf106) is a newly discovered protein; its expression and clinical pathological significance in human tumors remains unclear. Immunohistochemistry, Western blot, and immunofluorescence were performed to assess C6orf106 expression in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).

Intein‐based modular chimeric antigen receptor platform for specific CD19/CD20 co‐targeting
CARtein is a modular CAR platform that uses split inteins to splice antigen‐recognition modules onto a universal signaling backbone, enabling precise, scarless assembly without re‐engineering signaling domains. Deployed here against CD19 and CD20 in B‐cell malignancies, the design supports flexible multi‐antigen targeting to boost T‐cell activation and

Targeting the eIF4A RNA helicase blocks translation of the MUC1-C oncoprotein [PDF]
The oncogenic MUC1-C subunit is aberrantly overexpressed in most human breast cancers by mechanisms that are not well understood. The present studies demonstrate that stimulation of non- malignant MCF-10A cells with epidermal growth factor (EGF) or ...

The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect and mechanism of different concentrations of aspirin in inhibiting the ovarian cancer of p53N236S gene knock-in mice. In total, 28 male p53S mice, with an age range of 4-6 weeks and weight of 20-25 g were selected.

Clinical trials on PARP inhibitors in urothelial carcinoma (UC) showed limited efficacy and a lack of predictive biomarkers. We propose SLFN5, SLFN11, and OAS1 as UC‐specific response predictors. We suggest Talazoparib as the better PARP inhibitor for UC than Olaparib.
