Structural Elucidation, Antioxidant Properties, and In Silico Molecular Docking of Schiff Base Complexes Derived from Naphthalene-1,8-diamine and Terephthalaldehyde

open access: yesIndonesian Journal of Chemistry
By combining two mmol of naphthalene-1,8-diamine with one mmol of terephthalaldehyde, a TPAL-DAN ligand was synthesized. Six metal salts: Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), and Cd(II) were used to prepare six Schiff base complexes.

Dimer of the DPPH Stable Radical

open access: yesACS Omega
Although the DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-(2,4,6-trinitrophenyl)-hydrazyl) radical is known for its indefinite stability, both in solid and in solution, and therefore no dimerization reaction occurs, the DPPH-dimer has been obtained by an alternative synthesis.

In vitro and molecular docking and analysis of isoxazoline derivatives with DPPH [PDF]

open access: yesBioinformation, 2020
A series of isoxazoline derivatives (4a-i) was synthesized from the reaction of 3-(4-fluorophenyl)-1-phenylprop-2-en-1-one derivatives (4a-i) and hydroxylamine hydrochloride in ethanol at reflux conditions. The compounds were confirmed by spectral (IR, 1H & 13C NMR) and elemental analysis.

Paramagnetic Susceptibilities of Some DPPH Derivatives [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of the Chemical Society of Japan, 1969
Abstract The static magnetic susceptibilities of poly crystalline samples of 1,1-bis(p-chlorophenyl)-2-picrylhydrazyl (Cl-DPPH), 1,1-bis(p-bromophenyl)-2-picrylhydrazyl (Br-DPPH), and 1,1-bis (p-methoxyphenyl)-2-picrylhydrazyl (CH3O-DPPH) were measured in the temperature range from 10°K to 300°K.

Scavenging of DPPH by Persistent Free Radicals in Carbonized Particles

open access: yesAdvanced Sustainable Systems, 2023
AbstractPersistent free radicals (PFR) in carbonized particles may play a role in degradation of environmental compounds. The influence of PFR is evaluated in various carbonized particles on their radical scavenging efficiency upon the common radical indicator 2‐2‐diphenyl‐1‐picrylhydrazyl (DPPH).

DPPH Radical Scavenging Reaction of Hydroxy- and Methoxychalcones

open access: yesBioscience, Biotechnology, and Biochemistry, 2006
The DPPH radical scavenging activity of 2',4',6'-trihydroxy- and 2'-hydroxy-4',6'-dimethoxychalcones carrying a 2,3- and 3,4-dihydroxylated, and 3,4,5-trihydroxylated B-ring was evaluated in alcoholic and non-alcoholic solvents. All test compounds scavenged more than two equivalent of radicals by a possible conversion to the corresponding B-ring ...
