EphrinB2 in dental pulp stem cells promotes endothelial cells forming capillary-like cords in a 3D bioprinted hydrogel construct

open access: yesBMC Molecular and Cell Biology
Objectives We fabricated a pre-vascularized bioprinted hydrogel construct via coculture of human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) and dental pulp stem cells (DPSCs) to investigate the role of ephrinB2 in 3D capillary-like cord self-assemble ...

Cellular Dynamics and Dentine Bridge Formation Following Direct Pulp Capping With MTA and Biodentine in a Murine Model

open access: yesInternational Endodontic Journal, Volume 59, Issue 11, Page 2413-2423, November 2026.
ABSTRACT Aim Formation of a mineralized dentine bridge is the hallmark of successful direct pulp capping (DPC). Mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) and Biodentine are widely used capping materials, but in vivo evidence comparing their regenerative potential remains inconclusive. This study used a controlled murine model to compare dentine bridge formation

Morphology and proliferative potential of DPSCs and CDPSCs.

open access: yes, 2014
Both DPSCs (A) and CDPSCs (B) isolated from dental pulp were spindle-shaped and fibroblast-like under the light microscope. Both DPSCs (C) and CDPSCs (D) have a fibroblast-like appearance with long cytoplasmic processes and many filopodia using the ...

miR-140-5p regulates the odontoblastic differentiation of dental pulp stem cells via the Wnt1/β-catenin signaling pathway

open access: yesStem Cell Research & Therapy, 2019
Background MicroRNAs (miRNAs) play a key role in regulating cell differentiation. In the present study, we aimed to explore the role of miR-140-5p in odontoblastic differentiation of dental pulp stem cells (DPSCs).

Human Dental Pulp Stem Cell Secretome Restores Ischemic Stroke–Impaired Motor and Cognitive Functions by Reprogramming Redox and Inflammatory Signaling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 57, 14 October 2026.
Human dental pulp stem cell secretome emerges as a cell‐free therapeutic strategy for ischemic stroke by reprogramming redox and inflammatory signaling. hDPSC secretome‐derived antioxidant and immunomodulatory factors suppress the TLR4–NOX–ROS–NF‐κB axis, reduce microglial inflammatory responses and apoptosis, and promote neurogenesis, angiogenesis ...

Strategies to rescue mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) and dental pulp stem cells (DPSCs) from NK cell mediated cytotoxicity. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
BACKGROUND: The aim of this paper is to study the function of allogeneic and autologous NK cells against Dental Pulp Stem Cells (DPSCs) and Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs) and to determine the function of NK cells in a three way interaction with monocytes ...

Matrix Stiffness Enhances Odontogenic Differentiation of DPSCs through Membrane Curvature Protein Baiap2‐Modulated Exosome Release (Adv. Sci. 60/2026)

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 60, 28 October 2026.
Dental Caries Matrix stiffness promotes odontogenic differentiation of dental pulp stem cells by enhancing exosome release. This process is mediated through PI3K‐AKT‐Baiap2 signaling that modulates membrane curvature, which also depends on mechanosensitive kinesin‐1 and vesicular transport.
