Microparticulate Drug Carriers

1985
Several type of microparticulate carriers have been employed in recent years in conjunction with a wide variety of drugs and a broad range of therapeutic goals. One of the most salient characteristics of microparticulate materials as drug carriers is that, in general, the drug-carrrier complex must be administered parenterally, usually by intravenous ...

Proniosomes as drug carriers.

Pakistan journal of pharmaceutical sciences, 2010
Approaches to stabilize niosomal drug delivery system without affecting its properties of merits have resulted in the development of the promising drug carrier, proniosomes. Proniosomes is dry formulation using suitable carrier coated with non ionic surfactants and can be converted into niosomes immediately before use by hydration.

Beads as Drug Carriers

2010
Beads are often used as drug carriers in passive, as well as active drug targeting, making this a highly relevant topic in today’s research. Major general topics covered in the first part of this chapter include controlled drug release, gels in drug-delivery systems, dual- drug-loaded beads, and drug release from the beads.
