Sensor-based complete coverage path planning in dynamic environment for cleaning robot

open access: yesCAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology, 2018
Using Complete Coverage Path Planning (CCPP), a cleaning robot could visit every accessible area in the workspace. The dynamic environment requires the higher computation of the CCPP algorithm because the path needs to be replanned when the path might ...

Identification of the plant mitochondrial OrfX protein: A mass spectrometry approach

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The mitochondrial genome of plants contains an open reading frame, orfx, which encodes a rare protein that has so far escaped mass spectrometric detection. The protein resembles the c‐subunit of bacterial twin‐arginine‐motif‐dependent protein translocases (TatC).

Elements of the visualisation process within a dynamic geometry environment [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
The advent of powerful computer graphic packages has coincided with renewed interest in all forms of visual representation in mathematics. As a result, we need to be clear about what we mean by the visual processing necessary to solve mathematical ...

Evolution in a changing environment [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We propose a simple model for genetic adaptation to a changing environment, describing a fitness landscape characterized by two maxima. One is associated with "specialist" individuals that are adapted to the environment; this maximum moves over time as ...

Design and Fabrication of Thermopile Infrared Detector Based on Carbon Black Nanoparticle Absorption Layer

open access: yesPhotonics
This study demonstrates a high-performance thermopile infrared detector that incorporates a carbon black nanoparticle (CBNP) absorption layer. To overcome the limitations associated with conventional infrared-absorbing materials—including high cost ...

Path planning method with obstacle avoidance for manipulators in dynamic environment

open access: yesInternational Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems, 2018
Obstacle avoidance is of great importance for path planning of manipulators in dynamic environment. To help manipulators successfully perform tasks, a method of path planning with obstacle avoidance is proposed in this article.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Ultra-Broadband Wearable Antenna with Thermal Sensitivity Based on Surface-Modified TiO2-PTFE-PDMS Nanocomposites

open access: yesMicromachines
In this study, a composite substrate with adjustable dielectric properties was prepared, and its promising application in wearable medical device antennas was demonstrated. 3-Methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane (KH570) was used to modify titanium dioxide (

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.
