Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Supply ships with special reference to dynamic positioning system

open access: yes, 2021

Dynamic Positioning Control for Marine Crafts: A Survey and Recent Advances

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering
This paper surveys the recent advances in dynamic positioning (DP) control for marine crafts. DP of marine crafts means that a craft can maintain a fixed position and heading, or move along a predetermined trajectory slowly without the anchoring system ...

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Dynamic positioning [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Auto-Tuning of a Modified L1-Adaptive Controller with Genetic Algorithms for Dynamic Positioning of a Remotely Operated Vehicle Under Marine Currents

open access: yesPolish Maritime Research
In this article, a modified L1-adaptive controller with auto-tuning using a genetic algorithm is presented for dynamic positioning of remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) under marine currents, based on a six-degree-of-freedom nonlinear model of an ROV.

Dynamic Positioning System

open access: yesJOURNAL OF THE MARINE ENGINEERING SOCIETY IN JAPAN, 1985
As the needs for exploration for and development of seabed resources grew in recent years, the sites for such projects have been moving to deeper and deeper waters. As the result, anchors have increasingly lost their usefulness as a means of holding ships in position, and instead, there has been a growing demand for drilling rigs and other structures ...
