Application of simulated annealing algorithm in multi-objective cooperative scheduling of load and storage of source network for load side of new power system

open access: yesEnergy Informatics
To improve the adaptability of grid load collaborative scheduling, a multi-objective collaborative scheduling method based on a simulated annealing algorithm for the load storage of grid loads on the load side of a new power system is proposed. Local bus

Dynamic Multi Threshold Priority Packet Scheduling Algorithms

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2016
Packet scheduling algorithms are developed in order to use shared transmission resources efficiently. Various application packets such as real and non-real time packets might have different QoS requirements and traditional scheduling algorithms might be ...

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

An upstream open reading frame regulates expression of the mitochondrial protein Slm35 and mitophagy flux

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Priority-enabled Scheduling for Resizable Parallel Applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
In this paper, we illustrate the impact of dynamic resizability on parallel scheduling. Our ReSHAPE framework includes an application scheduler that supports dynamic resizing of parallel applications.

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Joint Computation Offloading and Prioritized Scheduling in Mobile Edge Computing [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
With the rapid development of smart phones, enormous amounts of data are generated and usually require intensive and real-time computation. Nevertheless, quality of service (QoS) is hardly to be met due to the tension between resourcelimited (battery ...

A novel complex network based dynamic rule selection approach for open shop scheduling problem with release dates

open access: yesMathematical Biosciences and Engineering, 2019
In the open shop scheduling problem, resources and tasks are required to be allocated in an optimized manner, but when the arrival of tasks is dynamic, the problem becomes much more difficult.

PICALM::MLLT10 translocated leukemia

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This comprehensive review of PICALM::MLLT10 translocated acute leukemia provides an in‐depth review of the structure and function of CALM, AF10, and the fusion oncoprotein (1). The multifaceted molecular mechanisms of oncogenesis, including nucleocytoplasmic shuttling (2), epigenetic modifications (3), and disruption of endocytosis (4), are then ...
