A parametric study on the dynamic response of planar multibody systems with multiple clearance joints [PDF]
A general methodology for dynamic modeling and analysis of multibody systems with multiple clearance joints is presented and discussed in this paper. The joint components that constitute a real joint are modeled as colliding bodies, being their behavior ...

The new Cu‐containing MOF (Me2NH2)(CuICl2)@[Cu4(INA)4Cl2O]·1.5dmf (3) contains a cation and an anion as guests and shows UV‐near‐mid‐IR absorption and near‐IR emission. MOF 3 shows gas‐solid reactivity in the presence of NH3 and HCOOH to yield two new 3D MOF.

A Lie group variational integrator in a closed-loop vector space without a multiplier [PDF]
As a non-tree multi-body system, the dynamics model of four-bar mechanism is a differential algebraic equation. The constraints breach problem leads to many problems for computation accuracy and efficiency.

Hysteretic behavior of a belt tensioner: modeling and experimental investigation [PDF]
In this paper we describe the modeling of the hysteretic behavior of belt tensioners. An initial experimental device is composed only of the tensioner by using forcing frequencies, preloads and deflection amplitudes.

Modulational instability windows in the nonlinear Schr\"odinger equation involving higher-order Kerr responses [PDF]
We introduce a complete analytical and numerical study of the modulational instability process in a system governed by a canonical nonlinear Schr\"odinger equation involving local, arbitrary nonlinear responses to the applied field.

Elephant‐skin‐inspired crack networks are programmed in porous diatomaceous earth (DE)‐cement composites using substrate‐guided, stress‐concentration induced fracture. The resulting crack lattices act as capillary conduits that redistribute water, while the porous matrix stores moisture.
