Size of chloroplasts in Arabidopsis mesophyll cells affects jasmonate biosynthesis

This study shows that mutants harbouring giant chloroplasts produce more jasmonic acid upon mechanical stress than wild‐type plants, suggesting that organellar architecture is a previously unrecognized factor associated with plant hormone biosynthesis
