U pristupnim razmatranjima koja su prva glava knjige razmotreno je suvremeno elektroničko okružje poslovanja gospodarskih subjekata, te prikazan pojmovni sustav koji se pojavljuje s novom tehnologijom. U drugoj glavi pojašnjen je pojam Interneta i prikazana kratka povijest tog suvremenog fenomena.
