Implications for the origin of early-type dwarf galaxies – the discovery of rotation in isolated, low-mass early-type galaxies [PDF]
We present the discovery of rotation in quenched, low-mass early-type galaxies that are isolated. This finding challenges the claim that (all) rotating dwarf early-type galaxies in clusters were once spiral galaxies that have since been harassed and transformed into early-type galaxies.

Galaxy Zoo: a sample of blue early-type galaxies at low redshift [PDF]
We report the discovery of a population of nearby, blue early-type galaxies with high star formation rates (0.5 < SFR < 50 Msun/yr). They are identified by their visual morphology as provided by Galaxy Zoo for SDSS DR6 and their u-r colour.

Dynamics of Companion Galaxies of Early-type Galaxies [PDF]
Abstract We estimated the dynamical masses of 115 early-type galaxies (ETGs) by analyzing the dynamics of satellite and companion galaxies of these ETGs. We selected galaxies with absolute magnitudes between −22 and −25 in the K s -band from the Extragalactic Distance Database. We

The Origin of Star Formation in Early-type Galaxies Inferred from Spatially Resolved Spectroscopy
We investigate the origin of star formation activity in early-type galaxies with current star formation using spatially resolved spectroscopic data from the Mapping Nearby Galaxies at Apache Point Observatory in the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS).

The Sizes of Early-Type Galaxies [PDF]
In this letter we present a study of the size luminosity relation of 475 early-type galaxies in the Virgo Cluster with Sloan Digital Sky Survey imaging data. The analysis of our homogeneous, model-independent data set reveals that giant and dwarf early-type galaxies do not form one common sequence in this relation.

Clustercentric Distance or Local Density? It Depends on Galaxy Morphology
Determining which between projected local density and distance from the cluster center plays a major role in regulating morphological fractions in clusters is a longstanding debate.

We assemble a catalog of 15424 nearby galaxies within 50 Mpc with consistent and homogenized mass, distance, and morphological type measurements. Our catalog combines galaxies from HyperLeda, the NASA-Sloan Atlas, and the Catalog of Local Volume Galaxies.

Atmospheric Pressure and Molecular Cloud Formation in Early-type Galaxies
A strong correlation between atmospheric pressure and molecular gas mass is found in central cluster galaxies and early-type galaxies. This trend and a similar trend with atmospheric gas density would naturally arise if the molecular clouds condensed ...

Kinematical data on early-type galaxies. I. [PDF]
We present new kinematical data for a sample of 38 early-type galaxies. Rotation curves and velocity-dispersion profiles are determined for 32 objects, while the central velocity dispersions are given for the whole sample. This is our second paper in a series devoted to the presentation of kinematical data on elliptical and S0 galaxies, derived from ...

Herschel Spectroscopy of Early-type Galaxies [PDF]
Abstract We present Herschel spectroscopy of atomic lines arising in photodissociation regions as well as ionization regions of nearby early-type galaxies (ETGs), focusing on the volume-limited Atlas3D sample. Our data include the [C ii], [O i], and [N ii] 122 and 205 μm lines, along with ancillary data including CO and H i maps. We find
