Cancer, 1988Persons with symptoms or signs suggestive of colorectal cancer require complete exam of the large bowel either by sigmoidoscopy, preferably flexible, with barium enema, or by total colonoscopy. A test for fecal occult blood (FOBT) is not necessary here.
