Carbonation of Chrysotile under Subduction Conditions
In order to understand the role of serpentine minerals in the global carbon cycle, high-pressure X-ray diffraction (XRD) experiments were performed on chrysotile (Mg3Si2O5(OH)4) using carbon dioxide (CO2) as a pressure medium.

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Pressure calibrations of high-pressure large-volume presses at HPSTAR [PDF]
Large-volume presses (LVPs) are widely utilized in diverse research fields—including high-pressure physics, chemistry, materials science, and Earth and planetary sciences—to investigate the physical and chemical properties of materials under extreme high-

Adsorption behavior of H2 in quartz silt-pores at high temperature and pressure
To understand the storage and transport of H2 in the Earth’s interior, the adsorption behaviors of H2 in the slit-like pore of quartz under different conditions were calculated by the grand canonical Monte Carlo method.

Heliospheric modulation of the interstellar dust flow on to Earth
Aims. Based on measurements by the Ulysses spacecraft and high-resolution modelling of the motion of interstellar dust (ISD) through the heliosphere we predict the ISD flow in the inner planetary system and on to the Earth.

This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

Wavelike patterns in precessing elliptical rings for swarming systems [PDF]
A continuum model for a swarm of devices is investigated with the devices moving along precessing elliptical Earth-centered orbits. Wavelike patterns in these precessing elliptical rings with peaks in swarm density are found that can be used to provide ...
