Studies on the glycosidases of the cellular slime mould Dictyostelium discoideum. [PDF]
The following D. discoideum glycosidases were studied: beta-hexosaminidase (EC 3.2.1.30 and EC 3.2.1.17), alpha-mannosidase (EC 3.2.1.24), beta-glucosidase (EC 3.2.1.21), beta-galactosidase (EC 3.2.1.23) and alpha-glucosidase (EC 3.2.1.20) or ...

Structure of the complex of a yeast glucoamylase with acarbose reveals the presence of a raw starch binding site on the catalytic domain [PDF]
Most glucoamylases (α-1,4-d-glucan glucohydrolase, EC 3.2.1.3) have structures consisting of both a catalytic and a starch binding domain. The structure of a glucoamylase from Saccharomycopsis fibuligera HUT 7212 (Glu), determined a few years ago ...

Plant canopies sustain soil C‐N‐P enzyme activities under climatic disequilibrium
Our findings reveal that plant–soil interactions are sensitive to mismatches between plant communities and climate. By enhancing enzymatic functioning under conditions of climatic disequilibrium, canopy plants contribute to maintaining nutrient cycling processes and potentially ecosystem resilience.

Performance of immobilized glucoamylase in a magnetically stabilized fluidized bed reactor (MSFBR) [PDF]
Glucoamylase (EC 3.2.1.3. from Aspergillus niger) was immobilized onto the magnetic polystyrene particles including active groups. These particles were used in a magnetically stabilized fluidized bed reactor, and performance of this reactor was ...

Efficient and simple extraction of mouldy bran in a pulsed column extractor for recovery of amyloglucosidase in concentrated form. [PDF]
The recovery of amyloglucosidase [EC 3.2.1.3] from mouldy bran obtained from a solid-state fermentation system in a pulsed plug flow extractor was 86% with the use of 10 ml min-1 feed rate of the solvent and 87 min extraction time.

A novel pyrazoline derivative (P2) was synthesized and demonstrated potent α‐glucosidase inhibition (IC50 = 2.10 µM), significantly surpassing acarbose and highlighting its promise as an effective oral antidiabetic agent. ABSTRACT This study reports the synthesis of some novel chalcone (C1–C3) and 3,5‐disubstituted pyrazoline derivatives (P1–P3 ...

Lipid-linked saccharides formed during pullulan biosynthesis in Aureobasidium pullulans [PDF]
Radioactive glycolipids were extracted from cells of Aureobasidium pullulanspulsed with d-[14C]glucose. Labelled, alkali-stable lipids were resolved into one neutral and two acidic fractions.

Enzyme-mediated production of sugars from sago starch: statistical process optimization [PDF]
Glucoamylase (γ-amylase, EC 3.2.1.3) from Aspergillus niger was used to hydrolyze the soluble sago starch to reducing sugars without any major pretreatment of the substrate. A 2 L stirred tank reactor was used for the hydrolysis.

Observation‐Driven Forecast of Global Terrestrial Water Storage and Evaluation for 2010–2024
Abstract Since 2002, the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) and GRACE Follow‐On (GRACE/‐FO) satellite missions have provided unprecedented measurements of terrestrial water storage changes (TWSC). These data are essential for monitoring the global water cycle, supporting drought and flood risk management, and informing water‐related ...

Purification and characterization of a thermostable glucoamylase from the thermophilic fungus Thermomyces lanuginosus. [PDF]
Glucoamylase (1,4-alpha-D-glucan glucohydrolase, EC 3.2.1.3) was purified from the culture filtrates of the thermophilic fungus Thermomyces lanuginosus and was established to be homogeneous by a number of criteria.
