Edge channels and the role of contacts in the quantum Hall regime [PDF]
The vanishing voltage drop Uxx in the quantum Hall regime is destroyed if barriers with reduced filling factors are introduced between the potential probes. We investigated a system with two barriers created by Schottky gates that are separated by up to 200 ìm.

Contact Stress Analysis of Traction Drives of a New Type Bearing Reducer
An arc is constructed at the end of the planetary wheel profile shaft of the planetary traction drive, and the contact point between the arc and the outer ring and the end face of the solar wheel shaft is kept on the radial traction contact line.

When is visual information used to control locomotion when descending a kerb? [PDF]
BACKGROUND: Descending kerbs during locomotion involves the regulation of appropriate foot placement before the kerb-edge and foot clearance over it. It also involves the modulation of gait output to ensure the body-mass is safely and smoothly lowered to

ABSTRACT Background Chronic limb‐threatening ischemia (CLTI) is a severe form of lower‐extremity artery disease characterized by distal lesions and microcirculatory impairment, limiting revascularization efficacy. Rheocarna is a direct hemoperfusion low‐density lipoprotein (LDL) adsorption device with potential rheological and anti‐inflammatory ...

ABSTRACT Background Chronic micro‐inflammation in patients with end‐stage renal disease (ESRD) is a significant driver of cardiovascular complications and diminished quality of life. While standard hemodialysis (SHD) effectively manages small‐molecule clearance, its ability to remove medium‐to‐large uremic toxins—the primary catalysts of systemic ...

Contact edge roughness in EUV lithography [PDF]

Optimal Tooth Flank Modifications for Compound Planetary Robot Reducer Considering Edge Contact
The aim of this study was to optimize gear tooth flank modification in a compound planetary reducer with a reduction ratio of 100:1 to achieve uniform load distribution and minimize the face load factor ( $K_{H\beta }$ ).
