We evaluated the flammability of leaves based on their shape and size. Rectangular and triangular shapes showed high flammability that did not vary with size, while circular shapes had minimal flammability, but it varied with size. These findings indicate that leaf shape and size impact flammability.

ABSTRACT Changing ocean conditions are leading to spatial redistribution of many marine species, including those that support fisheries. A combination of gradual climate trends and shorter‐lived extreme events, such as marine heatwaves, can change the availability of species or stocks to fishing ports, impacting fishing communities and challenging ...

From Graphene Oxide to N‐Doped Graphene: Understanding the Doping Process
Nitrogen‐doped graphene has gained attention as an alternative electrocatalyst, making attractive the development of scalable synthesis methods. However, a current bottleneck is to optimize the appropriate nitrogen species present. Here, the N‐doping mechanism is explored in detail starting from graphene oxide as the precursor, to contribute toward the

The third‐order nonlinear infrared and ultraviolet properties exhibited by silicon quantum dots irradiated by ultrashort pulses were studied. The samples were prepared by 1.5 MeV Si+2 ion implantation processes in high‐purity silica substrates. Femtosecond z‐scan measurements conducted at 830 nm wavelength revealed strong self‐focusing effects together
