〔目的〕足把持力トレーニングの効果を足把持力の経時的な変化により検討した。〔対象〕健常成人女性19名とした。〔方法〕10分程度の足把持力トレーニング(タオルギャザー)を週4日,6週間継続して実施し,トレーニング前,3週間後,6週間後の足把持力を比較した。〔結果〕トレーニング前と比較して3週間後の足把持力は有意な増加を示した。一方,3週間後と6週間後との間に有意差は認められなかった。〔結語〕足把持力トレーニングによる筋力増強効果は,3週間で生じることが示された。また,足把持力に関与する筋群は,形態的な特徴から6週間のトレーニングでは筋肥大による筋力増強は得られない可能性が推察された。
