Soybean Auxin Transporter PIN3 Regulates Nitrate Acquisition to Improve Nitrogen Use and Seed Traits
Xu et al. discovers that switching off auxin transporters in soybean, PIN3a and PIN3b, disrupts auxin flow; this triggers ARF‐STF3/4 signal cascade to activate the nitrate importer NPF2.13 and soil nitrogen acquisition. Multi‐year field trials show edited soybeans maintain yield with higher oil content, offering a potential genetic route to improve ...

6-gingerol enhances ciprofloxacin efficacy by inhibiting NorA efflux pump in Staphylococcus aureus
The drug efflux mechanism adopted by Staphylococcus aureus helps it in its survival under antibiotic pressure. The efflux pump NorA, a member of the MFS superfamily, effluxes out fluoroquinolones, biocides, quaternary ammonium compounds, and anti ...

A macrophage–platelet conjugation system (M‐P‐NPs@PPARγ) targets injure tissue to co‐deliver platelet mitochondria and PPARγ‐encoding NPs. This strategy boosts the macrophage energy supply and restores lipid homeostasis, leading to synergistically enhanced efferocytosis and tissue repair Abstract Mitochondrial dysfunction occurs in macrophages with ...

Physiological Role of Bacterial Multidrug Efflux Pumps
Since the discovery of antibiotics, the battle between humans and drug resistant bacteria has never stopped. Bacteria have developed various ways to resist the toxic effects of antibiotics and other drugs. Multidrug efflux pumps are integral membrane proteins that utilize cellular energy to extrude antibiotics or biocides actively out of the cell.

The report presents a facile room‐temperature method to stabilize Pd single‐atom catalysts within ZIF‐67 crystals during their formation. Despite an ultralow Pd loading (0.0014 wt%), the catalytic microreactor, featuring atomically dispersed Pd‐N4 sites in ZIF‐67, demonstrates superior robustness and maximized Pd utilization, significantly ...

Water scarcity poses a critical threat to global food security. A low‐power, flexible electromagnetic actuator is presented for smart drip irrigation systems. The device achieves precise, wide‐range flow modulation (0.05–5.8 mL/min) in response to real‐time plant demands, reducing water consumption compared to conventional flood irrigation.
