An edible biohybrid platform triggers nanoplastics (NPs) aging and agglomeration by in situ generating hydroxyl radicals within the intestine. The enlarged NPs are unable to penetrate the intestine and are subsequently excreted. Simultaneously, probiotic biofilms reinforce the intestinal barrier.

Heat Stress in Quail: Impacts on Health and Productivity, and Mitigation Strategies
Heat stress disrupts physiological homeostasis in quail, inducing oxidative stress, immune dysregulation, and metabolic imbalance, which impair growth, reproduction, product quality, and welfare. Integrating nutritional, environmental, and genetic–epigenetic strategies enhances thermotolerance, sustains productivity, and supports climate‐smart quail ...

Multifunctional nano‐networks (NNWs) are prepared via reaction‐induced self‐assembly (RISA) of spermidine (SPD), epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), 2‐formylphenylboronic acid (2‐FPBA), and deferoxamine (DFO) through dynamic iminoboronate bonds. These NNWs leverage the oxidative AKI microenvironment to trigger disintegration, enabling site‐specific ...

Molecular interactions between (-)-epigallocatechin gallate analogs and pancreatic lipase. [PDF]
The molecular interactions between pancreatic lipase (PL) and four tea polyphenols (EGCG analogs), like (-)-epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), (-)-gallocatechin gallate (GCG), (-)-epicatechin gallate (ECG), and (-)-epigallocatechin (EC), were studied from ...

ABSTRACT Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), primarily Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, is a chronic relapsing inflammatory disorder of the gastrointestinal tract and an important risk factor for IBD‐associated cancer. Increasing evidence suggests that gut microbiota dysbiosis, epithelial barrier dysfunction, and immune microenvironment remodeling

Effect of (−)-Epigallocatechin Gallate to Staphylococcal Enterotoxin A on Toxin Activity
Staphylococcal enterotoxin A (SEA) functions both as superantigens that stimulate non-specific T cell proliferation as well as potent gastrointestinal toxins. We previously reported that (−)-epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) binds to SEA.

Comparison of (-)-epigallocatechin-3-O-gallate (EGCG) and O-methyl EGCG bioavailability in rats.
(-)-Epigallocatechin-3-O-(3-O-methyl)gallate (EGCG3″Me) and (-)-epigallocatechin-3-O-(4-O-methyl)gallate (EGCG4″Me) are O-methyl derivatives of (-)-epigallocatechin-3-O-gallate (EGCG) present in tea cultivars such as Benifuuki. Although O-methyl EGCGs have various bioactivities, their bioavailabilities have not been determined.
