To the Editor: —InThe Journal, April 19, p. 1285, appeared a communication by Dr. W. W. Goodrich reporting the use of egg albumin as a culture medium for the diphtheria bacillus. In this communication, Dr. Goodrich stated that none of the laboratory men to whom he mentioned the medium had ever heard of its use.
