Supported Catalytically Active Liquid Metal Solutions (SCALMS) for Propane Dehydrogenation–Intermetallic Phases and Liquid Alloys Studied by Pair Distribution Function Analysis and Density Functional Theory

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Supported liquid alloys of gallium and platinum with different metal‐to‐metal ratios are used in propane dehydrogenation. The catalytic performance is correlated with spectroscopic insight gained from pair distribution function (PDF) studies combined with density functional theory (DFT). Abstract The supported catalytically active liquid metal solution

Polo‐Like Kinase 1 Phosphorylation Tunes the Functional Viscoelastic Properties of the Centrosome Scaffold

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
To enable mitotic spindle assembly during cell division, centrosomes must bear tensile stresses generated by microtubule‐mediated pulling forces. Micro‐rheology reveals that PLK‐1 phosphorylation of the scaffold protein SPD‐5 tunes the viscoelasticity, size, and morphology of the centrosome scaffold in C. elegans.

ZDHHC2‐Dependent Palmitoylation Dictates Ferroptosis and Castration Sensitivity in Prostate Cancer via Controlling ACSL4 Degradation and Lipid Peroxidation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Our study reveals a novel mechanism by which palmitoylation regulates ferroptosis and enzalutamide resistance in prostate cancer. Under enzalutamide resistance, the FOXA1/CXXC5/TET2 complex induces aberrant upregulation of ZDHHC2, which subsequently suppresses ferroptosis by mediating S‐palmitoylation of USP19 and degradation of ACSL4 protein in CRPC ...

Feeding for Egg Production

open access: yesJournal of the American Association of Instructors and Investigators of Poultry Husbandry, 1915
Abstract You are so familiar with the general foods, rations, and principles involved in balancing rations and feeding for egg production that a general or extensive discussion of this subject would be unnecessary on this program. I will confine myself, therefore, to certain conditions and practices, the importance of which is often given but slight ...

Insect I‐Type Lysozymes Function as Antiviral Proteases by Forming Biomolecular Condensates

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Upon rice viral infection, the insect vector activates the Toll–MyD88–Dorsal signaling cascade, inducing i‐type lysozyme (Lyz‐I1) expression. Lyz‐I1 functions as an antiviral protease through its conserved catalytic dyad Glu/Asp (E/D), mediating cleavage of viral proteins at specific Lys (K) residues.

The Determination of Body Defects, Hatching and Chick Quality Traits in Partridge (Alectoris Chukar) Parents

open access: yesTurkish Journal of Agriculture: Food Science and Technology
The aim of this study was to determine the relationships between body defects, egg and chick quality and hatching results at different age periods of the laying period of partridges raised in production conditions (cage system).

RNAi Regulator C3PO Promotes Arbovirus Infection in Insect Vectors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
RNA interference (RNAi) is vital for eukaryotes to defend against virus infection. The C3PO complex takes part in RNAi but its role in regulating viral infection remains unclear. This work finds that insect C3PO facilitates arbovirus replication by degrading precursors of miRNAs, especially miR‐971‐3p.
